About the Team
The Commercial & Supply Chain Division enables genuine commercial outcomes to maintain the financial sustainability of the business. The division carries out Commercial Management, Contract Management, Supply Chain Performance and Planning, Manufacturing, Refurbishment and Logistics Services for Sydney Trains.
The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Operator to be a part of our Commercial & Supply Chain within Sydney Trains. This position provides a wide range of engineering based mechanical stream skills and competencies to achieve project completion deadlines to standard, within budget, time, and cost, in order to ensure customer satisfaction and achievement of Rail Equipment Centre targets.
Do work that matters
Reporting into the Supervisor Mechanical, you will work within a production environment, to produce mechanical components and associated equipment for the Rail Equipment Centre Business.
About you
To be successful in the role:
Qualification in an Mechanical/fitter stream from recognised institution
3+ years' working experience in an mechanical/fitter stream and/or mechanical manufacturing environment
CNC (Computer Numerical Machine) machining experience
High Pressure Waterjet Machine experience
Experience in operating conventional machine, lathe, mill, drill & band saw etc.
Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and calculations.
Forklift Licence or willing to get one as soon as possible.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is COM 2.1 - 4.3 ($1,109.90 - $1,574.00) per week plus superannuation and leave loading.
