As an Fullstack Engineer (React with .Net C# focus), you’ll be part of one of our Product oriented Engineering teams, applying architectural and engineering practice and principles to define, build, test and run technology for our Food, General Merchandise and Clothing business. Your contribution will create and improve user experiences and business outcomes. You’ll support your teamby sharing your expertise, judgement and passion for delivering quality products for our customers.

In the role, you’ll collaboratively design and develop large-scale services with high performance using technologies such as the latest .Net Standards, React JS, MySQL,  Kubernetes & Docker. This includes utilising serverless functions and event driven architecture including testing (with Jest and Cypress).

We use a variety of tech here and we need you to be willing to pick up new skills tools and techniques in a variety of complementary technologies. More about the role

  • You will help to drive the product technical roadmap through an understanding of technology and broader understanding of roadmaps across teams.
  • You’ll be involved with the implementation of solutions with cloud technologies typically with AWS and or Azure.
  • You will be supported in your own development, indicatively a day each fortnight on learning something new.
  • Much of the work we do is done remotely (You may typically expect to work 3 days from Home and on average 2 days in an office. This role has an office base of either our Coventry Ansty Park office or our London Holborn office, working from overseas is not supported).

More about you

  • You will be a team player, analytical, curious and confident in contributing to effective progress
  • You’ll possess programming language expertise and relevant skills in .Net (C#) and JavaScript and relational and non-relational database technologies. You'll have proven commercial experience using React Redux JS (preferred) or Angular
  • You’ll have strong testing and support experience for also ensuring effective operation of the solutions you create
  • Expertise in engineering practice, including knowledge of engineering and architectural principles
  • You’ll be a role model for best practices, championing a customer centric mindset and a passion for finding creative ways to solve problems, coaching and collaborating with fellow engineers as a progressive member of the wider engineering community.
  • Proven experience of software design and implementation, security, cloud, infrastructure as code and CI/CD and any relevant hardware 
  • Self-drive and constantly striving to improve your team, division and peers 
  • Drive for advocacy of agile/lean delivery methodologies 
  • A passion for delivering solutions to customers, owning the whole SDLC and living the DevSecOps principles 
  • A passion for enhancing your knowledge and evidence curiosity in emerging tech 
  • Display empathy and understanding in supporting colleagues in the team to deliver
