Job Description

Job description

As an engagement and governance analyst within IMT, you will be responsible for helping to craft and embed a regular governance and engagement service with various internal partners via the Bank's Insider Threat Program.

Proven organisation skills are important for this role as a portion of this work will include setting up and running monthly engagement meetings along with preparation of a metrics pack for various Bank forums. Alongside this will be regular interactions with the Bank's central education team through the creation and roll out of targeted guidance and training on reporting in security concerns.

Engagement and governance analysts should be able to demonstrate an ability to create and maintain succinct records within the records management system. Similarly, it will be vital on occasion to input basic information onto the case management tool that IMT use, and to maintain excellent written records of incoming work, for the purposes of collating monthly statistics for our management reports.

Central to the function of IMT is the ability to communicate optimally with our partners. Any successful candidate should be comfortable interacting with a variety of different departments and individuals, both verbally and in written correspondence.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong IT skills, and in particular proficiency in Excel and handling large datasets and spreadsheets is needed.
  • Attention to detail. A central function of this role includes the interrogation and analysis of our investigations and monitoring data to identify and report incident trends to local business areas.
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, very organised and able to handle a varied and full workload. During lively periods it may be necessary to assist the investigators and other monitoring analysts, under supervision, with ad hoc investigative tasks.
  • Phenomenal interpersonal skills, and the ability to talk to colleagues at different scales and in different departments, both verbally and via written correspondence.

Desirable Criteria

  • A passion for talking about and translating security events for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience of collating and producing a selection of management information for monthly reports.
  • Recent Experience of working within an Investigation’s or security related environment, or an understanding of how investigations or data loss events are handled.
  • An interest or experience in preventing or detecting fraud within a corporate environment.
  • Current and transferable SC clearance would be highly advantageous.
