Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join the Luxe HR Retail team for a 3-6 month period.  

Key Responsibilities:

                                                                              

    • To deliver excellent Employee Relations support to Field Area Retail Managers
    • Effective coordination, coaching and risk-management of a high volume of employee relations cases including; probationary periods, absence, disciplinary & grievances and capability processes. Working in collaboration with HR Retail Partners and Retail Directors on the most sensitive cases.
    • Day to day coaching of the people management ability of Area Managers to improve their level of capability and independence.
    • Work with the HR Retail Partners to train and develop the Area Managers, including creating content and delivering training.
    • Meet regularly with the retail management teams to share analysis, highlight trends & identify insights from employee relations data.
    • Lead and support various employee relations initiatives across the retail business.
    • Employee Relations development, such as: policies, Line Manager guidance documents, template letters, meeting scripts.

Who we’re looking for…

    • Previous experience in an HR/ER Advisor role, with strong employee relations experience, ideally within a large team
    • Studying or recently qualified CIPD (preferable)
    • Ideally, experience in Retail or FMCG companies – or companies with high levels of change and pace
    • Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise and adapt
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to retain knowledge
    • Proactive, confident and enthusiastic
    • Ability to treat all matters with absolute confidentiality and integrity
    • A professional, diplomatic and friendly manner
    • Effective written and oral communication skills
    • Good PC skills with an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Self-confidence and willingness to take full ownership of role
