Embedded Sales Account Manager - Bay Area
The Role:
We are looking for our next team member to drive sales and design wins for AMD’s Embedded business in tight collaboration with the manufacturers’ representatives. To be responsible for establishing the AMD strategy, to penetrate “Market Maker†accounts and expand revenue within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:
Specific Responsibilities:
- Define and implement sales strategies that grow the revenue base and market share for the Embedded business
- Partner with and manage the manufacturers’ representatives within the assigned region to a 30, 60 & 90 Day Plan and measure their progress with a common rep scorecard.
- Identify customer challenges and translate these challenges into a compelling value proposition, ideally from chip-level technology into system level solutions
- Establish the appropriate relationships with key buying influencers at the top accounts within the region.
- Work with the Business Unit Vertical leads and develop an “airtight†strategy
- Ensure close collaboration with the territory Field Application Engineer (FAE) and align priorities
The first 3-6 months:
- Assess the manufacturers’ representative firms within the territory and recommend any changes that are required to ensure success
- Identify key customers, priorities and focus
- Develop a strong sales funnel that insures a constant flow of market maker design wins within the vertical segments
- Develop relationship with the vertical leads to identify/build collaborative approach to evangelize AMD products in key verticals
The first 12 months:
- Build a strong manufacturers’ representative organization within the central area.
- Ensure the organization is aligned and is implementing the product strategy and vision set out for the territory.
- Demonstrate design wins with key customers such that customers in target verticals are advocating AMD products back into OEMs
Preferred Experience:
- Leadership Experience: demonstrated success in comparable roles, building and leading a team of manufacturers’ representatives
- Technical Experience: an established background in Embedded CPU sales with proven experience selling Embedded products
- Networking, Storage, Edge/telco, and Automotive experience a plus
- Customer Experience: strong historical interaction and relationships with key customers and OEMs
- Organizational Experience: demonstrated efficiency managing manufacturers’ representatives’ and penetrating top accounts within assigned vertical segments
Academic Credentials:
Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred
