Key Responsibilities
- Ability to maintain an approved supply base.
- Preparation of RFQ packages
- Analysis of supplier quotations
- Recommend sourcing decisions based on cost, quality, delivery and financial stability
- Negotiation of all commercial aspects of material / component, indirect and services purchases.
- Drive supplier cost savings through on-going negotiations.
- Support program launches through participation in the PDP process
- Maintain purchasing records, process internal eRequisitions and issue Purchase Orders as required.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Strong Negotiation Skills
- Strong Inter-Personal Skills
- Ability to understand technical aspects of the components / materials in their portfolio
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written
- Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office, Trans4M etc.)
- University Degree or College Diploma required
- Minimum of 6+ years Purchasing Experience
- Automotive Purchasing Experience considered an asset.
- Extensive electronics background

Health & Safety Environmental Responsibilities:
- Work in compliance with and support company policies, procedures, work instructions and programs relating to health/safety and environment
- Provide support and resources in a timely manner to address health and safety or environmental concerns or hazards that require corrective action
- Have clear goals communicated to for health/safety and environmental protection
- Review accident/incident investigation reports to ensure that corrective actions have been completed
- Conduct regular audits of work area(s) to ensure no safety hazards or environmental issues exist
