Job Description

As an electro-mechanical engineer, you will work with a dedicated team to design and integrate electrical/electronic systems for Versatile's next generation of heavy-duty agricultural machinery. You will participate in proof-of-concept (POC) projects from start to finish by taking an active role in all phases of POC development, from concept and design to integration and testing. We take a hands-on approach to design, so expect to spend time away from your desk working directly with prototype vehicles.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

●  Responsible for electromechanical design, development and system integration

●  Support specification and analysis of concepts and proposals

●  Create and maintain documentation associated within project including product and component specifications, detailed CAD models and associated component drawings

●  Design and development of wiring systems and wire harness assemblies, power centers and control systems

●  Working closely with design team select components, instrumentation and sensors

●  Sheet metal/weldment design of housings, enclosures, shielding and bracketry

●  Work within an interdisciplinary team to conduct effective communication and ensure compliance to standards and regulations

●  Conduct functional safety analysis (ISO 25119)

●  Uses systems analysis tools (oscilloscopes, meters, analyzers, data loggers etc) to measure performance and troubleshoot

Qualifications:

●  B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering discipline

●  Minimum of 5 years design experience in mobile/self-propelled equipment

●  Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle system electrical/electronics, CAN bus

●  Ability to interpret hydraulics and electrical schematics

●  Familiar with GD&T, dimensional tolerancing and tolerance stacks

●  Experience with Zuken E3.cable (or equivalent schematic layout software)

●  Experience with Autodesk Inventor (or similar CAD system)

●  Proven ability to meet deadline/successful completion of deliverables

●  A strong technical capability and ability to work in a team environment

●  Registered or eligible for registration with APEGM.
