The opportunity:

• Management of engineering issues which emerge to pose a risk, requiring a flexible and creative approach with all stakeholders
• Support the Chief Design Engineer to develop, maintain and publish the Portfolio risk register
• Translation of the Portfolio Obsolescence Management Strategy into engineering plans to support projects and equipment design authorities
• Manage delivery risk awareness - you will establish links with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to provide support where required
• Manage Commonality, Modularity and Reuse within CW Portfolio products across projects identifying risks (with their mitigation) and opportunities to the customer
• Establish clear communication between Portfolio and all MBDA stakeholders

Who and what we are looking for from you?

• Communicate effectively with different engineering disciplines within MBDA, external suppliers and the customer
• A good understanding of the design process throughout the product life cycle
• Think flexibly and creatively when presented with complex design challenges involving multiple stakeholders
• Manage priorities effectively when presented with different issues across multiple projects
• Technical experience desired: electrical/electronics, knowledge of defence/industry standards, etc. with degree level qualification or equivalent in a related subject. Ideally this would be within a defence related background, however, experience within other engineering industries will also be considered

The Portfolio Delivery Team reports directly to the Chief Design Engineer who will connect you to wide range of stakeholders inside and outside MBDA.
