So what does a day in the life of an Amazon customer service associate look like?
As an employee at Amazon, you will be part of a fun and engaging environment providing world class customer service. You’ll receive calls and online chats, helping your customers with any queries whilst seeing each contact as an opportunity to advocate for your customer and make them smile. We pride ourselves on our bar-raising customer service, and we are looking for individuals who reflect these standards.
Who we are looking for
At Amazon we are always looking for individuals who have great listening skills, can communicate effectively, think outside the box, and have a can do positive attitude. If this sounds like you then we would love to hear from you.
Customer service experience is not essential, as we provide you with all the training you need to support you on your journey with us. Your training period will be for a total of 6 weeks . As this training is imperative for setting you up for assisting our customers, no holiday’s can be taken during this time. In order to ensure that we match our customer demand, we schedule based on a variety of different shift patterns within the operating hours of 7am and 9pm Monday to Sunday.
What do we need from you?
Whilst we're working from home you'll need to provide a quiet, distraction free work space within a dedicated room. You will need to have an ergonomic desk and chair. From a technical perspective, you would need to have a minimum broadband connection of 20MB download speed and 8MB upload speed using a hard-wire Ethernet internet connection (no WiFi). We will provide you with a complete equipment package ahead of your first day of training.
Where you'll work when we return to site
Our purpose built Centre of Excellence is based at Exchange Crescent off Lothian Road in Edinburgh. The site features a Games Room, Zen Den, Open Meeting Spaces and a Coffee Shop Style Kitchen with free tea and coffee! These are just some of the things that make EDI7 a great environment to work.
Fun is important to us, we like to plan lots of activities and events for everyone to get involved in such as celebrating cultural days, annual parties and we even had a trip to the zoo. We also pride ourselves in our involvement with our local community through organising regular charity events.
