Job Description

Are you looking for a role within E-Commerce? Do you have experience in optimising websites? Would you like to work for one of the UK's largest retailers?

 

We are looking for a Website Optimisation Assistant within the George eCommerce team, you will be required to support the vision and goals of the George.com website. This role will help you develop strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to back up decision making. A keen eye for detail and a passion for problem solving will help you to analyse problems and suggest appropriate resolutions in delivering key organisational results with your team. 

 

Your role:

  • You will assist the Optimisation specialists and Experts using data and customer journey evidence to evaluate site performance.
  • You will also work alongside our website and development teams, in our MBO squad structure, across a range of subjects to drive efficiency and consistency across website activities delivering customer benefit.   
  • You will be involved in working collaboratively to support our ongoing programmes including SEO, search and testing as well as project work that touches areas such as our contact centre operations capability and payment options.
  • You will ensure that the customer will remain at the heart of your work and will inform every decision and action you take. 

About You 

  • Experience in optimising websites and improving SEO in a largescale environment.
  • A solid understanding of customer satisfaction.
  • Ideally you will have experience of working within a retail environment and will rely on your tenacious attitude and an enthusiasm to learn. 
  • Communication is key as you will be interacting with multiple teams and individuals.  The Ability to prioritise your own workload and multi-task in a fast past paced environment will help you make a difference.
  • A flexible approach to travel between ASDA and George head offices (Leeds & Lutterworth) as some travel may be required.
