Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,500 people in the UK. BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including many training services. As the company grows we have a need to expand our current Training Capability in the Fixed Wing domain. This is an exciting time to join a growing team of training experts.
The candidate shall have a RAF E-3D air operation control background and have experience in instructional delivery in both theory and practical elements.
The E-7 SCO Instructor will be based at the E-7 Training Centre in RAF Lossiemouth. Initially the role will support courseware design and development in support of the Instructional Systems Designers before transitioning to the primary Instructor Role. Conversion training requirements will be subject to discretion but will be completed at a location in the UK and RAAF Williamstown in Australia before transitioning to RAF Lossiemouth. Reporting to the Boeing E-7 Training Delivery Manager, the role will act as E-7 SCO Instructor delivering theory and practical training for E-7 SCO customer training.
Specifically the E-7 SCO Instructor will:
Deliver training for E-7 simulator and ground training in accordance with company standards, customer requirements and CAA/MAA regulatory guidelines
Develop and conduct simulator and ground school SCO instruction
Develop training tools and techniques to support customer requirements
Apply instructor led training and computer based training techniques and methodologies
Coordinate training, apply standardised teaching techniques, carry out demonstrations when required and apply evaluation procedures and methods in order to comply with appropriate military and civilian regulatory agencies to achieve contractual standards and certification requirements
Evaluate/examine the competence of students in accordance with company and customer regulatory requirements
Identifying and correcting conditions and behaviours that affect employee, public, and customer safety; upholding safety standards; demonstrating proactive safety culture leadership.
Additionally:
Conducts analyses to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design
Establishes processes for identifying training content and evaluating training effectiveness. Uses specialised software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials
Ensures accuracy and quality of training products
Coaches and develops others
Provides training services that meet the highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and processes and embrace first-time quality as a way of life.
]What we're Looking for:
A RAF instructional background and will have delivered training through an Operational Conversion Unit or equivalent training establishment
E-3D air operations controller experience
Completed the Aircrew Instructors' Course (AIC) or equivalent
The ability to communicate with personnel from multiple skill areas, cultures and functions
IT proficient specifically Microsoft Office applications
Skill and ability to: collect, organise and analyse data; summarise findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
Other appropriate background, experience and qualifications may be deemed acceptable
