The primary role of this position is:
The Domain Architect serves as the primary technical interface between design, technology and product engineering teams and leads efforts to establish and drive standard methodologies to optimize performance and reliability across AMD products.
Role details include:
Provide technical leadership across departmental boundaries in all aspects of reliability improvement on sophisticated nodes.
Harmonize DFT/Design and Test Methods to detect outlier units.
Develop and drive innovative DFT architecture, custom test methods, test infrastructure, and automated statistical detection methodologies (ex. DPAT, Adaptive Test, etc..).
Consolidate learning from early technology validation vehicles (test chips and lead product(s)) to deliver platform level mentorship.
Get along with vendors toward driving next generation DFT capability (ex. Analytical Software, Siemens/SnPS/EDA, 3PIP, Advantest/Test Systems)
Develop and deliver customized innovative analytical solutions where appropriate (ex. multivariate, clustering, principal component, etc…).
Work with technology validation, DFM, and product teams to capture new defect modes and implement corrective actions at foundry partners.
Qualifications:
Years of experience and education:
Candidates will have a M.S. in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of applicable experience or B.S and 7 years applicable experience or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 1 years of directly related experience.
Required Skills:
Understanding of semiconductor design, process, packaging and test technologies
Strong proficiency in data analysis, reliability modeling, and outlier detection
Experience in HPC new product introduction and ATE test methodology
Familiarity with modern CAD/EDA flows and proficiency in DFT approaches
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with geographically distributed teams
Proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries
