Display Controller Verification Engineer

The Role:

The Display Controller team within the Radeon Technologies Group(RTG) is looking for a Staff-level verification engineer to join the IP CORE and FPGA Verification team! The individual will technically lead the team in verifying the Display IP using sophisticated verification methodologies on our products.

The Person:

You will participate on a team of design verification, architects and design engineers, working closely with other team members to understand and verify the functionality of the design within the context of the overall IP system. The candidate would be responsible for carefully detailing and executing test plans consisting of directed and random tests to be run under simulation and hardware acceleration. Experience with hardware modeling, assertions, and formal verification methods are valuable assets. We encourage you to adopt evolving verification methodologies used in the industry as well as develop custom techniques to functionally verify increasingly sophisticated IP designs. This is a phenomenal opportunity for one to build leading-edge display technologies and seeing them work end-to-end in a hardware IP.

Key Responsibilities:

• 10+ years of proven verification experience on large ASIC development projects.
• Proven experience using sophisticated verification methodologies such as UVM or VMM.
• Very strong background in System Verilog, C/C++ coding techniques.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of UNIX/Linux operating systems and debug tools.
• A good teammate who learns and thrives in a team setting.

Preferred Experience:

• Technically lead IP-level verification comprised of use-case, performance and end-to-end testing.
• Provide the documentation and implementation for test benches, DV models, and test cases. He/she is encouraged to own and execute on the verification of a sizable design by applying UVM verification methodology.
• Work with existing tools/flows or develop new tools/flows to complete the assigned verification task.
• Deliver high quality IP work; support customers on the IP usage and programming.

Academic Credentials:

Min. Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
