Responsibilities

• Directs, monitors, and oversees the routing and scheduling of drivers Ensure daily coverage of all routes and charter work.
• Acts as front-line support for drivers with issues related to routes, vehicles, customer service inquiries, and complaints.
• Communicates all relevant details of driving assignments to drivers to ensure proper execution and on-time service delivery.
• Maintains proper documentation and records of drivers for payroll purposes.
• Coordinates vehicle service and mechanical repairs with the Safety Manager to assure uninterrupted service delivery.
• Answering phones and two-way radio professionally and courteously.
• Responsible for communicating with YRDSB about any inquiries or issues about students, drivers, and routes.

Competencies Required

• Strong proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Geographical knowledge of the York Region and the surrounding area.
• Previous dispatch experience preferred.
• Sound knowledge of CVOR and MTO requirements for school bus transportation.
• Ability to multitask and work independently. Apply professionalism and professional judgment.
• Great attention to detail.

Experience: Dispatching 2 years (preferred)
