• Experience building and running Cloud sales operations.
• Experience leading matrix organizations across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions.

About the job

As the Director Business Operations and Strategy, you will report directly to the VP Operations and Customer Growth of Google Cloud EMEA. Pivotal elements of the role are strategy, go-to-market planning, operations, sales activation, reporting and governance.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in Google Cloud Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in enabling sales teams to go faster and work more effectively. This function will span our EMEA business in its entirety, from supporting corporate digital native customers to closing agreements with EMEA’s largest enterprises.

Your role will cover business operations for the entire EMEA Cloud Sales organization including regional and functional sales operations and strategy, business planning, operational programs, business analysis, and overall business strategy.

A key objective for you will be to define a standardized operating model as well as further build out each of the programs, optimizing each function.

You will lead a high performing team across the region and, as the business grows, you will be tasked to continue developing and empowering the team.

• Drive problem solving and Go-To-Market planning to achieve Google's goals both in the short and in the long term.
• Understand our customers needs, segmentation, and alignment by market segment, industry, and solution, as well as programmatic, planning, and orchestration of the customer journey and stakeholder reporting, forecasting, and governance.
• Be responsible for the alignment of each team, providing coordination between the field sales organization, Google's cross-functional organization (Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, etc.) and key stakeholders.
• Manage business performance and iterations on the way the teams work to continuously improve.
