The Invoice finance Team plays a key part of the cashflow solution for many trading businesses and is a growth product both within LBG and the UK generally, making this an exciting area to develop a career within the wider Group.
The role
We have an opportunity to join the Northern Invoice Finance Team as one of our Business Development Directors, supporting the Mid Corporate sector. This senior role requires a strong profile in the marketplace to identify and deliver high quality new business opportunities, by utilising SMC products for both new and existing bank clients.
What you'd be doing...
â–ª Manage, develop and deliver new Invoice Finance opportunities in the LBG Mid Corporate sector (mid tier companies, multinational corporates, etc.)
â–ª Meet the needs of new and existing LBG customers funding requirements related to complex, often customised products and services.
â–ª Analyses and evaluates the feasibility/relevance of the proposed financial requirements, then develops and provides an Invoice Finance solution as necessary, with guidance from senior colleagues and/or supervises activities performed by a financial product development/specialist team.
â–ª Takes ownership for implementing, developing and maintaining a professional introducer network in order to deliver new business opportunities.
â–ª Identifies shortcomings, then suggests and implements improvements to existing business practices where appropriate.
What we need from you...
• A Knowledge of Invoice Finance is a key requirement.
• A strong understanding of P&L drivers, business accounts and financial analysis.
• A proficiency in the credit and underwriting process and a fluency in all manner of financial documents- able to analyse, draw insights and make financial services recommendations.
• You'll need to demonstrate how you're wired into local networks with extensive connections in the professional space and able to use these for business development opportunities
• A team player who's also a natural at nurturing and coaching other team members.
