Job Description
You will be working in one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas of Sainsbury’s and supporting us in delivering exceptional digital experiences for all our customers across our new propositions.
Accountable for the delivery and implementation of new channel propositions. Working with the relevant teams to provide a service that customers love and trust and to positively impact and influence change at all levels, ensuring excellent stakeholder engagement and management.
What you need to do
- Deliver and implement both strategic and tactical Trading and Customer plans to deliver the sales, profit and customer satisfaction targets for relevant propositions across channels
- Use analytics, customer insights data and trading data to maintain, develop and optimise the range of products sold across our channels
- Regularly review and report on the relevant market to inform the development of proposition
- Problem solving, using judgement and insight to ensure issues effecting any new propositions performing are addressed
- Working in conjunction with relevant Ecommerce and Product teams to identify opportunities to optimise sales, revenue and customer satisfaction. This could include managing hierarchies, building new categories and supplier-funded content (n.b. will be dependent on type and maturity of propositions)
- Provide relevant and accurate reporting to the team and stakeholders
What you need to know
- Strong commercial acumen with strong analytical and numerical capability
- Solid understanding of e-commerce and how best to utilise web data
- Ability to build relationships and influence across a network of key stakeholders
- Self-motivated and with the ability to identify and act on problems, using your experience and judgement
- Experience working in a fast paced and complex business
- Quick thinker with ability to spot issues, act upon insight and be quick to implement change when required
Desirable
- Experience working in e-commerce or grocery retail
