What you’ll create and do:

As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include:

Provide risk management services, which will vary in nature, from providing risk management services, to consulting on business change and emerging technologies and trends.

Carrying out assurance work for a range of clients, providing reports to stakeholders, assessing and advising on controls and improvements, and strengthening risk management at clients. 

Working on important internal projects to help manage an effective professional practice (e.g. training programs, market analysis, human capital management)

Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships internally with PwC teams and external clients.

Monitoring external trends in the areas of IT such as cyber security, artificial intelligence, machine learning, analytics and outsourcing. 

Developing knowledge on emerging trends in the broader business environment such as business transformation, reducing the cost of compliance, resilience, environmental and social governance, and privacy. 

Supporting Managers and Directors in the planning of projects based on a careful assessment of the subject matter, risks and controls in compliance with PwC's standards

Working with existing processes/systems whilst making constructive suggestions for improvements

Supporting development of more junior staff through on the job coaching.

What you’ll bring to this role

Hands on experience conducting full cycle risk and control assessments (planning through to execution), knowledge of specific standards and frameworks is an asset.

Proven ability to document processes, risks and controls, develop and execute testing programs, assess control design and operating effectiveness, and to provide recommendations for improvements

Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent client service, by building and maintaining productive relationships with both internal and external clients

Excellent knowledge of technology, IT practices and standards, infrastructure-related risks and controls in the areas of information security  is considered an asset.

Knowledge of business processes, risk management and control mechanisms is considered an asset.

Foundational understanding of ERP environments (for example Oracle, SAP) considered an asset.

Certifications in CISSP, PMP, CRISC, CISM or CISA are considered an asset.

Exposure to various data analytic tools (e.g. Python, R, Tableau, Alteryx) considered an asset.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
