This role is an exciting opportunity to join us and drive internal communications for Sky’s Group Technology division. You will support the wider comms team and design and develop engaging digital (and print) creative solutions. Using internal communications to raise awareness of the contribution that Sky’s technology teams make to the company and to the industry.
Technology underpins everything Sky does – from delivering news, entertainment and sport to the homes of our customers on TV and video, to our digital apps, mobile and broadband services. Innovation drives us, exciting developments in the areas of VR and AR, personalisation and data analytics to name a few. Our 5,000+ strong technology team needs a dynamic and engaging communications programme for sharing stories of innovation and success both inside and outside of Sky.
Your key responsibilities:
– Design and produce collateral to create engaging communications campaigns for an evolving and broad range of print and digital mediums (intranet, email, social media, flyers, merchandise, posters etc) using our branding and tone of voice, either from scratch or taking inspiration from existing artwork.
– Support with the creation of collateral for our monthly campaign schedule, including workplace tech, cyber security, diversity and inclusion, Sky’s Women in Technology campaign, wellbeing, and various HR Initiatives.
– Supporting the Group Technology Communications Team in day-to-day activities including some admin tasks.
– Edit and update our Group Technology intranet site.
– Build and send our Group Technology email newsletter, this will include some copywriting and sourcing content.
– Maintain and drive engagement of our digital social channels such as Yammer.
Your skills:
– Experience of internal and external communications as well as creating and editing digital newsletters.
– User of Adobe Creative Cloud in particular, InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop.
– Knowledge of working with Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, or other video editing software.
– Good design eye and understanding of SharePoint or other CMS with strong layout and typography skills, with a keen eye for detail.
– Understanding of online and offline design and production processes.
– Original, creative ideas about how to make messages and campaigns reach and engage a large workforce.
– A proactive, ‘can do’ approach and a willingness to multi-task as well as flexibility and adaptability including willingness to undertake tasks not directly linked with the core job description.

Our Osterley campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Chiswick Park, Gunnersbury, Acton Town and Ealing Broadway tube stations. There’s also plenty of parking, bike shelters and showers.
