The Division
The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions. 
The opportunity
Right now, we have an opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join us in the Systems and Data Development Unit within the Technology and Innovation Branch of Customer Strategy and Technology.
This role assists senior engineers with tasks in relation to the design and development of cloud infrastructure solutions primarily built upon cloud computing services and open source frameworks. Working in a cross-functional team, the role will support developers in the delivery of technology solutions using continuous delivery methodologies, with a focus on test driven development and automation.
What you will be involved in
You will work collaboratively within a project team to streamline workflows and release processes to support the design, build and maintenance of cloud infrastructure solutions.
You will provide problem analysis to support development of high quality, robust and secure infrastructure/software solutions that meet business and customer expectations
You will perform code review and analysis as required to identify faults or complications to support validity, efficiency and consistency of newly developed software and infrastructure systems
You will be involved with DevOps engineering, monitoring and the development of continuous improvement processes and practices.
You will establish, maintain and monitor the existing release timeline for the CI/CD pipeline.
About you
You have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of infrastructure as code, DevOps and CI/CD pipeline methodologies.
You have Terraform software experience and an understanding of Azure DevOps platform tools. You have experience in automated testing and understand how to integrate it into the CI/CD pipeline.
You have demonstrated experience with a range of build automation tools, software repositories and scripting languages.
You have the ability to engage with various stakeholders, you’re proactive and use your initiative to get things done and resolve issues and problems independently.
You have excellent communication skills, are flexible, and possess the ability to adapt to a changing and sometimes uncertain environment. 
You have experience working in teams to tight deadlines and have a successful track record in delivering great customer experience outcomes.
Any data processing and reporting experience such as Power BI will be highly regarded.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 8 ($120,423 - $134,872) per annum, plus superannuation and leave loading.
