The opportunity
The primary purpose is to lead a team that manages the process to clear sites so they are available for transaction, including managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve competing uses for land and to define and cater for transport requirements in the transaction process. This role also manages internal land transaction processes, including statutory processes needed to create title.
- Manage the TARP Clearance and Land Titling team and provide leadership for the extended clearance resources across other relevant teams including Spatial Survey, Agency Property Leads and Project Town Planners.
- Lead and manage the preparation of project specific Clearance programs.
- Drive the Clearance team to ensure Clearance activities are being completed within the reported Clearance program timeframes.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all relevant Clearance stakeholders. This includes the regular coordination of Clearance meetings such as landowner updates, Change Configuration Board (CCB), Station Working Group, and TARP Project Working Group (PWG) meetings.
- Ensure appropriate and adequate collaboration is being undertaken within the immediate team to meet Clearance program and proactively address clearance issues (i.e. Project Lead, Transaction Lead, Planning Team, and Survey Team).
- Ensure regular Clearance update reports are submitted to Project Leads and Program Director, including the escalation of key issues.
- Undertake continual process improvement identify and recommend opportunities to expedite Clearance activities.

About you
- Tertiary qualifications in a Planning, Design, Environmental, Engineering, Construction or Commercial / Business discipline or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in project planning and project management.
- Experience in the development, management, and improvement of project systems, change management initiatives and implementation of quality assurance processes.
