What you’ll do:

• To produce Low Level Designs primarily for Sky DWDM Networks
• Work with our suppliers to plan network upgrades and expansions
• To liaise with other team members and other Sky technology areas including Network Operations Teams and Field implementation Teams to ensure new services are delivered and operationally functional with minimum impact to service
• To ensure that all documentation is fully completed and updated for each completed activity as seen necessary, which includes the creation and updating of High/Low Level Designs
• To work on process improvement and Automation to increase accuracy and improve time to deploy. Interfacing with Automation tool sets, NMS API, ticketing systems and inventory management tools
• Ensure that other Sky Systems are updated to reflect changes in the transmission network.

What you’ll bring:

• Understanding and experience of the design of the latest DWDM Technologies
• Knowledge of Design of Nokia DWDM and Infinera DWDM Equipment and related NMS Systems
• Bringing new and innovated skills / Technologies to the table, as automation increases knowledge and skills in this area will become increasingly beneficial and ability to learn new skills in this area e.g., Python
• Well organised and able to multitask effectively. Ensures deadlines are adhered and requests for information/support satisfied within the agreed timescales.
• Problem Analysis Takes a logical and organised approach to problem solving
• Customer Focus – Understands and anticipates customer needs. Honour’s commitments made and establishes effective internal and external customer relationships
• Communication – Able to express ideas and information clearly and concisely.
