Desktop Support Technicians with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format will find a great opportunity at Robert Half. This Desktop Support Analyst position, which is a short-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity, is located in the Ottawa, Ontario, area.

How you will make an impact

- Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

- Administer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

- Resolve computer problems, and give guidance on appropriate action/solutions

- hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

- Support, examine, and repair computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

- Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

Requirements

- Experience writing procedure manuals, user instructions, business correspondence, and general report writing

- Expertise in Active Directory

- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365

- 3+ years of desktop support or other related experience
