You'll be joining the HCD team, which is a new team of over 200 designers and researchers across Lloyds Banking Group. Here at Lloyds Banking Group, we value Design Research. We’re a large, experienced team of 20+ researchers. We shape product and service development. Everyone has different strengths and passions from accessibility research, researching  with vulnerable customers to quantitative research lovers. We encourage you to test and learn new ways of doing research. We foster a culture of mentoring, collaborating and learning from other researchers.

Working in experienced multi-disciplinary design, product and engineering teams, you’ll deliver research for a key area of the business, supporting product and service development for our 17 million digital customers, 1800 branches and 80 million calls. You’ll deliver research to solve customer problems, unlock new opportunities and guide what is created. You’ll lead research across the product development lifecycle, from generative to evaluative research.

What we need from you:

  • Qualitative research experience such as conducting depth interviews, diary studies, contextual inquiry, concept testing, usability testing.
  • Experience of qualitative analysis to generate impactful and actionable insights
  • Experience working with design and product teams to identify research questions
  • Strong collaborator – you’ll collaboratively engage teams in research
  • Influencer: you influence product development decisions
  • Analytical skills
  • Empathetic and build rapport with people
  • A growth mentality – you are keen to experiment with ways to do research

  • Experience with quantitative research methods such as surveys
  • Experience with accessibility research and  / or vulnerable customers
