What you will do

As a Pre-Order Design Engineer, you will work with the Project Design Team to deliver accurate co-ordinated compliant Electrical Fire Detection and Security designs to relevant codes and standards in line with project timescale requirements. You will support the Project Design Teams by attending site for surveys and customer co-ordination meetings and liaise with clients and their representatives on design/coordination issues and to build sound and trustworthy relationships.

How you will do it

As a Pre-Order Design Engineer you will work on CAD/ BIM to deliver projects within requirements and within business standards. You will have the opportunity to work on high value projects, develop skills in the fire & security sector whilst learning new products and integration techniques.

What we look for

Required

• Previous experience as a design engineer.
• Experience of AutoCAD/ Revit/ Navis Works and/or other design software.
• Experience in planning work process from drawings/specifications
• Ability to prioritise feature work to meet demands
• PC literacy, including knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Working experience in both existing and new build projects.
• Working understanding of Electronic Security systems

Preferred

• Knowledge/understanding of electronic Fire Detection & mechanical / gaseous Fire Suppression systems.
• Accredited CAD/Revit operator qualifications.
• Experience of working in a BIM environment.
