The Deputy Under Treasurer, Economics and Fiscal (DUT) is a strategic leadership position for Treasury with overall responsibility for a range of critical whole-of-government economic and fiscal policy frameworks, initiatives, and services. The DUT is fundamental to Treasury driving the Government's plan to grow the economy and jobs, in line with the Government's economic recovery priorities and longer-term economic strategy.
The DUT works closely with the Under Treasurer and fellow executives to lead Queensland Treasury’s strategic plans and achieve our ambitious goals for Queensland and our organisation.
The DUT collaborates with senior leaders across the Queensland public sector to ensure a strong focus on the long-term economic and fiscal needs of Queensland, delivery of proactive, timely and responsive advice to Government and improved policy outcomes for Queenslanders.
Reporting directly to the Under Treasurer, the DUT is part of Treasury's executive leadership team, leading a multi-disciplinary team with accountability for a range of complex policy and strategic initiatives and functions, including:
