Lakes District Health Board is looking for a Data Analyst to fill a busy role where attention to detail is a key requirement. A big part of this role entails providing support to the Mental Health & Addictions Service through the supply of data and analytics.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities will consist of:
•    Co-ordinating data requirements as set by the Ministry of Health 
•    High quality report development and analysis
•    Data quality and data management 

Essential skills
•    Comfortable in collaborating with the business to gather their data requirements and needs.  
•    Experienced in working with SQL and Microsoft Excel  
•    Familiar with data warehousing processes and concepts such as ETL and dimensional data modelling.

Preferable skills
•    Ideally you will have had some exposure to the health sector 
•    Have participated in an agile way of working
•    Have some experience in data presentation and visualization tools such as Power BI.
 
This position is integral in providing data and analysis which will be used for operational and management decision making to ensure that the health care system delivers quality health care efficiently
