A career in our Financial Due Diligence practice, within Deals Transaction Services, will provide you the opportunity to help organizations realize the potential of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and capital markets. In short, we help some of the world’s leading companies originate, create, execute, and realize value from deals. Through data driven insights we help our clients move in the right direction ensuring maximum value for their company.

Our team assist organizations with both buy side and sell side due diligence. As part of our team, you’ll help us provide both corporate and financial buyers with peace of mind by analyzing and validating all the financial, commercial, operational and strategic assumptions being made.

What you’ll create and do

We work solely on deals - helping buyers and sellers to prepare better, close faster and realize profits sooner on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and financing transactions.

Our principal focuses as regards this position are in the areas of:

  • Buy Side Due Diligence; and
  • Vendor assistance/due diligence and carve-outs.

The Clients - We support clients across a broad range of industries and on a wide range of transaction sizes:

  • Major Canadian public and private corporations;
  • Leading Canadian financial buyers (Private Equity and Pension Funds); and
  • Inbound financial and strategic acquirers.

What you’ll bring to this role

  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work;
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives;
  • A Chartered Accountant Designation (or local equivalent);
  • Solid audit experience at a Senior Associate level;
  • Proven technical and analytical capabilities including proven financial and business performance analysis skills;
  • Strong communication, presentation and report writing skills;
  • Proven engagement team management and leadership skills; and
  • The position requires flexibility to travel throughout North America and internationally which can be up to 30% of your time. ​
