A number of positions have become available within our Distribution Centre in Manton Wood, Worksop for a DC Trainer. Contracted to work, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 on a rotation of 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00. You must be prepared to work over the contracted hours as the job dictates.

Key elements of the job will include:

• Maintaining and writing Method of Work and Safe Systems of Work for the department to the agreed standard.
• Maintaining Training records for the Department.
• Monitor and feedback on individuals’ performance and report on overall training progress within the Department.
• Use Methods of working and Safe Systems of Working to train new and existing staff to the required standard following accepted methods.
• Train team members fully in core and yearly health and safety requirements.
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards.
• Understand and support attainment of Service Centre KPI’s by influencing teams to achieve.
• Presenting to groups of people and individuals

The person

The ideal candidate will be approachable, possess effective leadership skills, be able to demonstrate the behaviors of an Extraordinary Team Member and be able to communicate to all levels.  You will have the ability to motivate a team of people and will have excellent listening skills.  Methodical in your approach, you must be able to plan and organise workloads. Liaise with Training Department, Inventory, HR, Health and Safety and other Service Centre Departments regarding training, stock and delivery issues. You need to have good IT skills.  You will be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
