Our Data Triage team plays a key role in enabling the success of our data and analytics teams through the provision of triage; identifying issues and ensuring we resolve and mitigate future challenges.

As Data Triage Analyst, you’ll be responsible for unlocking solutions across teams through investigative and cross-team conversations to delivering outcomes to end-users. Using knowledge of Data Warehousing, BI & Big Data platform concepts, combined with investigative drive and curiosity, you’ll not only deal with complex reactive matters, but also look to mitigate and deliver sustainable options to teams.

More about the role

  • Proactive and reactive resolution management for both in-day issues and potential future issues that can be mitigated across Customer & Data
  • Investigative root-cause analysis, using multiple sources of data and information, combining analytical decision making, communication across the team and experimentation to deliver outcomes
  • Proactively monitor data products, and delivers triage; identify issues routing them to appropriate teams
  • Liaise with Tech Service Operations teams & data/analytics teams to ensure regular and appropriate user communication
  • Monitor status of all issues and ensure correct escalations are implemented
  • Start / Re-start failed processes if they have been designed to allow this
  • Work with Customer and Data teams to ensure all communication messages and templates are documented
  • Ensure all data products are correctly represented in both Service and Product catalogues
  • Produce insight and reporting, presenting outcomes across the data teams to help drive continuous team performance. This includes impact analysis from change
  • Be on call to support all data products

More about you

  • Good understanding of service metrics & supporting tools
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing, BI & Big Data platform concepts & uses
  • Knowledge of data ETL processes
  • Strong SQL preferably on big data platforms such as Snowflake, Big Query etc.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as MicroStrategy, PowerBI etc.
  • Familiarity with cloud solutions preferably AWS
  • Understanding of a Data Ops or Service Support environment
  • Proactive and committed to ensuring the best experience for our customers
  • Attention to detail & strong time management
  • Desire to learn new about new tools & technology as the platforms evolve
