About this role

A core element of Enterprise’s strategy is to become a data driven business, where we use data, insight and analytics to drive the performance of the business.  Our job in the Data team to transform the Data capabilities available to the teams providing them with the best tools, quality data and analytics (including Machine Learning and AI) to support their needs. 

As a member of the Decision Support team, you will play a key role in provision of Business Intelligence across Enteprise.  Combining commercial thinking with data analytics to provide the business with relevant and actionable insight, to inform and influence strategic and commercial decision-making.  The team is instrumental in educating stakeholders across Enterprise on the value of data and analytics and how they can use data to drive performance.

You'll have the following responsibilities

Correlate numerous data points to identify trends and insights that provide performance-based guidance/recommendations and deliver valuable business insights. 

Use initiative to identify commercial opportunities and “join the dots” to anticipate requirements for insight and analytics from stakeholders

Presenting findings back in a concise and coherent manner to provide stakeholders with actionable recommendations, using a variety of data visualisation tools & techniques

Build wide and effective stakeholder relationships and support the complex stakeholder management requirement of an organisation of this scale and effectively prioritise the workload / deliverables

Expert in managing a small team, using your technical skills and experience to assure the quality of their work, coaching them for success, developing their skills, and managing their priorities to ensure sustained focus on greatest value driving activities

Takes an active role in Data Education initiatives and advocates data culture across Enterprise

Defining the CPS and Wholesale commercial trading KPI measurement framework ensuring consistency and integrity.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Story-telling with data: Strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences via Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau or similar tool

Making the difficult, simple: Clearly communicate latest data and reports to all levels of the organisation and manage expectations of several director level stakeholders and effectively prioritise the workload / deliverables

Business acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)

Analytical and Critical thinking skills: Prepared to challenge conventional thinking

Expert in SQL programming language and data interrogation techniques to support analysis

Be agile: Uses collaborative or agile  test and learn approaches, contributing to projects and  programmes  as a subject matter expert or content owner.

Creative approach: Curious about the organisation and seeks out challenging situations for themselves and others. Captures ideas for new ways of working

Desirable - Domain experience and expertise in the Business telecoms market, its products and systems
