Job Description

Are you someone with a passion for data, analytics, insights and technology? Do you want to work on a new initiative in Office 365 providing environmental sustainability features for customers? We are building a new team to focus on this space.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, implement and test descriptive and predictive analytics models
  • Architect and develop operational models that run at scale in partnership with developers
  • Communicate well with technical and non-technical audiences, and contributing modeling expertise as a team player
  • Create key metrics, reports and dashboards to support business health
  • Opportunity analysis and hypothesis generation for stages throughout the end-to-end user lifecycle
  • User centric ML models that drive new experiences in the Office applications and services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics/Math/Computer Science or related field
  • At least 2 years' experience in either software engineering/programming in C#/C++/Java or in building statistical models in R/Python/SQL for prediction, classification, clustering, time series forecasting, regression models, etc.
  • Experience with a data query language such as SQL, KQL, or SCOPE
  • Working knowledge of data mining using SQL, Big Data, ETL and Data Warehouses such as COSMOS, Kusto, Hadoop, MapReduce or similar
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication to educate and work with cross functional teams
  • Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data
  • Familiarity with deep learning toolkits, e.g. CNTK, TensorFlow, etc. is a plus
