This role will drive and deliver Data Quality improvements to make great quality, well understood data available to the people that can then drive analytics and insights into the business.
The role will involve working across a mix of systems with a range of tools and technologies.
The fundamental principle is that data is a corporate asset and, as such, we need to manage and govern it in a way which creates value from that asset.
What I need to do
- Work to continuously improve the data quality within the organisation across supply chain data with a focus on value
- Be able to measure improvements in quality and identify the value that delivers
- Work with supply chain stakeholders to identify key DQ focus areas
- Triage data quality issues, understand impact and importance and prioritise workload to address
- Ensure data quality issues are addressed at source and work with relevant owners to drive through necessary actions
- Embed pro-active supply chain data quality in key source areas
- Help progress the maturity of the DQ team by taking ownership for an area of the maturity roadmap
- Use data ownership and stewardship community to drive appropriate data quality improvements
- Help implement data quality management framework, processes, principles and standards
- Manage and contribute to appropriate artefacts
- Prioritise work, manage time effectively and complete tasks within agreed timeframes
- Identify, undertake root cause analysis and addressing real and perceived issues with data quality

What I need to know
- Strong knowledge of the tools, technologies, skills and processes required to deliver a great data quality capability
- Well versed with the concepts of data quality preferably in retail domain
- Excellent SQL skills (To be applied in, Snowflake and Oracle)
- Working knowledge of Python
- GitHub working knowledge
- AWS (or other cloud provider) working knowledge
- Previous experience of creating visualisations
- Understanding of Agile principles and JIRA usage
- Awareness of Data Vault Modelling
- Understanding of design and development of data stores, digital solutions and data warehouses and associated toolsets.
- Data and information management lifecycles
- Knowledge and use of data quality toolsets, methodologies and process
- How to undertake triage, root cause analysis and resolution

- Drive to take ownership of datasets and ensure that good quality data is available to business stakeholders
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
