We are looking for a new Chief of Staff to lead the Data Platform + Growth (DPG) team with the Experiences + Devices group.
The DPG team has a dual charter focused both on building products and on driving strategic growth initiatives for the Experiences + Devices (E+D) group. Our organization’s scope spans development of the new Microsoft Viva, the Office.com and Office Mobile experiences, the IDEAs data platform, and core components of the Microsoft 365 developer platform. Additionally, DPG is home to the FastTrack organization that drives customer success and growth of Microsoft 365 products, as well as E+D’s Strategy and M&A Team.
As a member of the leadership team, the Chief of Staff reports to the Corporate Vice President (CVP) of DPG. Acting as a right hand to the CVP, you are accountable for leader/leadership team enablement, business enablement, and business strategy and planning. This role will lead a team responsible for defining and delivering the rhythm of business, organizational strategy, team culture, business operations, and internal communications.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strategic thought leadership, business planning leadership, and capabilities to frame organizational opportunities for the DPG LT. The Chief of Staff will participate in and may sometimes lead key organizational strategy discussions and initiatives that aid in strong business execution excellence.
This role is also an important member of the broader E+D LT Chief of Staff community.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will focus on the following: 
Executive strategy & leadership team enablement:
Partner with the CVP to drive DPG strategy, priorities, and operations.
Drive strategic thought leadership by managing the ROB, driving workbacks, and taking the pen where needed to drive executive deliverables.
Track progress and drive completion of actions across business in alignment with leadership commitments.
Drive DPG OKR setting and review processes.
Organize and run DPG Leadership Team meetings.
Develop and cultivate cross organizational stakeholder relationships to amplify alignment with critical internal partners, i.e., E&D leadership, Sales, Partner, and Marketing.
Ensure that the CVP’s time is well managed and prioritized, partnering with the Executive Business Administrator.
Team culture & communications: 
Partnering with HR Leader, champion the execution of organizational and culture initiatives focused on creating a diverse and inclusive environment. 
Partner with our DPG D&I exec sponsor to lead a working team to activate our D&I Plan and drive the organizational health & employee engagement strategy and programs as measured by our culture OKRs.
Develop a data driven internal communications strategy leveraging insights through formal corporate and informal listening systems that improve organizational health, creates strategic clarity, generates energy and shared understanding of the org strategy deep into the organization.
Drive a robust calendar of internal & customer communications including All Hands, Inclusion Conversations, manager check ins, customer engagements, and org mails.
 
Business management & strategy:
Together with the DPG business manager & finance leads, ensure budget, resourcing, and LT capacity are aligned to top business priorities.
Partner with finance and procurement to ensure effective budget management, headcount management, and forecasting. 
Partner with GTA and broader DPG business management team to meet hiring requirements and elevate staffing conversations with the LT.
Develop and drive business strategic and annual strategic priority planning process. 
Drive and lead the Experiences + Devices Monthly Product Review series, including managing topic intake, finalizing agenda preparation, drive workbacks with presenters, managing the meeting day-of, and ensuring appropriate documentation & communication of decisions & next steps.
Team management:
Lead the CVPs executive office, including management of a team that includes the Executive Admin, Business Managers, and Communications Manager.
Deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.
Serve as the ‘dotted line’ leader of the broader DPG business operations team, which includes 20+ professionals across business support & business management.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications 
10+ years of professional experience in program / project management, management consulting, or business management. 3+ years of people management experience.
Resiliency, independence, and ability to navigate through ambiguous challenges.
Strong written skills and ability to be effective in communications based on relevant audiences internally and externally. 
Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.
Detail-oriented with analytical problem-solving skills.
Good business acumen & curiosity, including skill in understanding the industry, competition, and growth opportunities.
