To provide strategic leadership for operational activity and business support for the Enterprise Transformation (ET) function, reporting into the ET Operations, Culture & Capability Director. The role will provide effective leadership for the Data, Insights and Innovation team, participating in crafting operating models, business strategy and influencing key partners as a key member of the senior management team.


The role holder will work alongside Finance business partners to deliver strong management of run and portfolio costs, providing clear and timely financial MI. Specific focus on owning the resource planning for the division ensuring teams are set up for success and that delivery is aligned to current policy and procedures with clearly detailed risk and issues. Importantly the role will look to build our people capability, create an expansive learning culture and proactively support the team using Transformation practices and principles to embed new ways of working to measure the right things at the right time for the right purpose.



Job Description
 

  • Responsible for leading the Data, Insights and Innovation team and leading all aspects of a culture that demonstrates the Groups values for treating customers fairly and that facilitates the delivery of customer, shareholder and colleague objectives
  • Optimising the Enterprise strategic cost base through the application of strong cost control and efficient sourcing strategy to improve effectiveness and profitability
  • Accountable for developing and delivering people and financial data, mining this to produce key insights and concrete results to form the strategy for resourcing and affordability of our cost base.
  • Accountable for developing the engineering capability required for implementing technical solutions to underpin the strategy and ensure the smooth running of the Enterprise business.
  • Leads key client and customer relationships, typically by using account teams to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty toward the organisation.
  • Forging and maintaining relationships with strategic internal customers and act as their business partner, while typically using large support teams to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Provides input into the development of compliance policies, develops underlying procedures and supervises their implementation for area of responsibility within the organisation.
  • Takes ownership to formally grow capabilities within a significant functional area of the business, while personally investing in the growth of own and others' capabilities elsewhere in the organisation through mentoring and other informal methods.
  • Takes ownership for developing and delivering organisational change plans and achieving outcomes that support the organisation's overall strategy.
  • Takes ownership for fulfilling business plans for a significant functional business area by effectively leading a large team.
  • Engages with senior business leaders to understand long-term strategic challenges.
  • Takes ownership for supporting the overall organisational strategy by developing and delivering operational plans and outcomes for Enterprise Transformation
  • Develops functional or operational policies and participates in developing policy frameworks for area of responsibility or department, creating underlying procedures and supervising their implementation within the organisation.
  • Provides integrated long-term technical solutions and strategies for a significant area of responsibility, e.g., a function to support the execution of business strategy.
  • Develops strategic solutions to long-term business needs by anticipating complex issues, challenges and opportunities.
  • Takes ownership for developing and delivering an approach to strategic planning for a key part of the organisation.
