There are thousands of experts to talk to and learn from. Things get built here. They get made here. They hit customers and colleagues quickly. Welcome to the home of Sainsbury's Tech.

In this role you will:

  • Discover opportunities to reduce risk or loss using data and deliver it in a compelling manner.
  • Deliver insights to Loss Managers to support them while they are out in the field. Highlighting areas of concern and opportunity.
  • Help quantify the successes & failures of trials & initiatives
  • Collaborate with the wider Analytics Team and Data Teams to work with best practice and help define data needs.
  • Lead the design of Experiments (A/B Tests), ensuring they are run in a scientifically valid way
  • Analyse Experiments and provide actionable insights and recommendations back to the Business Protection and Product Teams

What we are looking for:

  • Must have a good level of experience of SQL, any of the following MySQL, PL/SQL TSQL, Snowflake etc.
  • Experience in R and/or Python is preferred
  • Some experience in statistical analysis on trial validation
  • Good experience and understanding of experimental testing (A/B Testing) and the science behind it
  • Ability to communicate complex findings to key stakeholders in a simple way
  • Curious and proactive
  • Ability to influence stakeholders
  • Positive attitude with ability to embrace change and deal with ambiguity
  • Knowledge or strong interest in retail loss and risk

In return you will get:

  • Colleague discount across the multi-brands – Sainsbury’s, Argos and Habitat

Flexible working and job share conversations are encouraged. Across our multi-brands, we’re proud to be an equal opportunities employer that champions a diverse and inclusive culture. If you’re reading this, even if you’re not 100% sure you’re there with your experience, we’d still love to hear from you. If you’d like to find out more head to Sainsbury's Tech.
