About this role

This role has been created to help us implement and drive forward the key aspects of data governance and data quality across Openreach. This will be achieved with the application of a comprehensive framework and a detailed activity plan and engagement model. The role holder will support the Data Governance Manager to rollout standards and accountability that create opportunities and build capability across Openreach. In turn, this will help drive efficiencies and cohesion across different parts of the organisation.

You'll have the following responsibilities

Work collaboratively to implement the Data Governance and Data Quality Frameworks.

Take an active role in creation of an activity plan and capability model and ensure they relevant and up to date.

Providing communication and engagement activities that ensure stakeholders are informed and updated.

Be responsible for delivering an environment that is centred around the provision of high quality and trustworthy data.

Be part of a close-knit team that provide Owners and Stewards with a centre of excellence and exemplar behaviours.

Maintenance of the metadata associated with metrics. stewardship, lineage, quality, dictionaries and glossaries.

Ensure all risk and issues associated with the management of data are captured and managed appropriately.

Help define and prioritise the rollout of quality measures with performance trending.

Assist in the production a scorecard that measures standards adoption and progress towards compliance. 

Implement governance capabilities in a progressive manner whilst ensuring bussines value is continually monitored.

Take part in technology reviews to ensure it is both relevant and capable for the tasks in-hand.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Demonstrable experience as a Data Governance Analyst or Data Quality Analyst.

A clear understanding of different data management domains, including quality, governance, architecture, modelling, engineering, and security.  

Knowledge of both cloud and on-prem data management emerging trends.

Experience in creating and managing metadata catalogues.

Worked with and has experience of a variety of data quality technologies.

Ability to analyse complex situations and to derive workable actions.

Previously worked with enterprise data assets.

Ability to constructively challenge requirements and current state to increase overall value to the business.
