Robert Half is recruiting for an experienced Data Engineer for our Calgary Client. As the successful candidate for the role you will be accountable for the design, development and maintenance of the Client’s Azure SQL based database and associated data pipelines, ensuring optimized data integration and accuracy of all related data assets. You have strong experience and ability database design, data modelling, Data Pipeline- and Data Mart development. This role is based in Calgary, AB. but is open to hybrid remote work/work from home concessions for eligible candidates.

Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• 5 + years proven working experience in similar role with solid experience and ability in Azure SQL MI, designing, developing, scripting database objects
• Proficient experience in relational and multi-dimensional data modeling, including multiple source systems from databases and flat files, OLAP, ROLAP
• Proven working knowledge and ability in data pipeline and data mart development and maintenance using Azure Data Factory
• Extensive experience in development and administration with Azure SQL Database
• Top notch analytical skills and attention to detail in order to analyze and improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
• Excellent problem-solving ability and documentation skills
• Strong ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a cross functional team environment.
• Familiarity and experience with Azure Reporting Services will be an asset
• Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent
