Job Description

About this role

This is an opportunity to play your part and protect our company, our customers and our communities from cyberattack. Be part of a dedicated team and get ready to be challenged every day to make the most of your skills and experience. You’ll learn from those around you, and from outstanding training and development resources to become even better at what you do. With the best technology at your fingertips, you'll be part of a friendly and flexible working environment where your contribution is always valued.

Security is a major growth engine of BT Group and a core part of BT’s 2030 ambition. Our huge visibility of global networks allows us to monitor and see global trends before others and often predict attacks before they even happen.

As part of a specialist Cyber Technical Pre-Sales team for our new automated Threat Intelligence driven, automated detection and response platform (Eagle-i), you will ensure that client propositions are brought to life and evolve at pace, through the application of business-driven scenarios and use cases.

You'll have the following responsibilities

To swiftly develop and retain an intimate knowledge of the Eagle-i platform, the services that it powers and how the platform delivers those services.

Become proficient in the navigation and user management of the Eagle-i demo environment and the use case framework that will underpin this, to understand how the framework drives the positive improvement of a customer’s business outcomes.

Use that knowledge to provide subject matter expertise to prospective customers on the technologies that underpin Eagle-i; bringing them on a journey by presenting and articulating relevant use cases that align to strategic advancement of a customer’s business outcomes, in a language that can be easily consumed.

Interface with our SecDevOps and Portfolio teams by gathering and sharing customer insights and feedback; ensuring new use cases are continually created so that the platform continues to develop, evolve and maintain relevance in an ever-changing threat landscape.

Work with customers to co-create use cases, which are then fed back into the central team for further development and deployment.

Share own knowledge with Security sales teams to broaden their knowledge and awareness of the Eagle-i platform and its capabilities – thereby empowering them to start their own conversations with customers – owning the process of down-streaming such information.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Industry leading expertise in Cyber Defence capability definition, countering the evolving global threat to government and enterprise assets

In depth knowledge of overall security trends, products and solutions

Proven experience in Cyber Pre-Sales and mapping features and use cases to customer outcomes

Strong presentation skills, ability to influence and provide thought leadership

Experience in implementing change as part of a continuous improvement lifecycle

Benefits

Free BT Broadband

Discounted TV & mobile packages and BT products

On target Bonus

Share options and 10% pension contribution

Professional development and paid for industry certifications/qualifications

Flexible benefits/rewards including dental insurance, healthcare, gym memberships etc.

Well-being support for you and your family

3 days paid volunteering a year

Flexible and smart working (subject to business needs)

Security isn’t always the first thing that people think of with BT, but it is one of the fastest growing parts of our global organisation. We protect our networks from more than 6,500 cyber-attacks each day, invest over £40m in research each year and employ more than 3,000 people - which makes us the largest private cyber security employer in the UK. With incredible opportunities to learn, develop and grow your skills, we’ll invest in you, nurture potential and shape your future – whatever your background or experience. In today’s world, safe and secure digital connections have never been more vital. You’ll be joining a global company operating at the forefront of the information age: BT employs 90,000 people in 180 countries. With huge scale, we’re capable of achieving great things, striving to be personal, simple, and brilliant for our customers whilst creating an inclusive working environment where people from all backgrounds can succeed.
