Job Description

The primary function of the role is to process import clearance requirements in line with company and regulatory standards. The purpose of this role is to support the overall customs clearance process by ensuring the accurate compilation and classification of imported goods in accordance with legislative requirements.

Key responsibilities are to:

  • Compile and classify import products in accordance with the customs tariff act
  • Customs valuation of imported goods in accordance with the customs act
  • Seek all relevant documentation and information from clients to minimise the payment of duties and taxes
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Ensure all DOAWR (Quarantine) import requirements are met

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of Customers Brokers Course/Certificate
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Agile mindset 
  • Working knowledge of Customs Tariff and Customs Act
