We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to work at the front desk in our Main Administrative Building. This position is one of the first points of contact for the public in person and over the phone. If you have excellent customer service skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a busy office environment, you may be the right one to join our team!
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent computer skills, including Office 365
Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, accounting/finance, or equivalent
Several years' experience in a Customer Service role in an office setting greeting customers and answering phones
Experience with cash receipting and data entry
A strong financial background including A/R and A/P
Experience working for a municipality an asset
Duties Include but not limited to:
Answering telephone and front counter inquiries
Greeting, screening, and directing visitors
Establishing and maintaining positive relations with customers
Undertaking cash receipting and answering tax and utility account inquiries
Verifying accuracy of data entry - checking batches and spreadsheets
Preparing and balancing cash receipt batches of electronic payments (PC and telephone banking)
Balancing and preparing bank deposits (daily or as required)
Administering, balancing, and replenishing petty cash fund and general credit cards
Entering financial data into computer system including A/R, A/P and Journal entries
Processing electronic tax certificates
Performing other duties assigned by supervisor

This position works 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
