We currently have the post(s) of Curator of Global Cultures available.

Reporting to the Lead Curator of Global Cultures, and part of the Global Cultures team, you will work across the internationally important collections of material culture from Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas (approximately 40,000 items), with special responsibility for one area of the collection.

As part of the team, you will undertake all aspects of curatorial work relating to the collection, including documentation, storage, research, and making accessible the Global Cultures collections on different platforms. You will be part of the wider World Museum curatorial team and will work across NML to develop cross-organisational approaches to collections, along with a wide range of individuals and organisations externally.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working with similar collections with knowledge of contemporary thinking and action in the subject.  You will be a team player, a good communicator able to contribute to and engage positively with contemporary public debates. You will have experience of fostering and maintaining meaningful and honest relationships with stakeholders, internally and externally.
