CPU Silicon & Platform Validation Technical Leader

THE ORGANIZATION:

Be part of a growing team within AMD that is building GPUs/Accelerated Processors that power the world’s biggest systems used for Machine Learning, HPC, AI, and Cloud Gaming. Our customers include some of the biggest names in the industry and are eager to partner with AMD. This team is also expanding its scope to cover CPUs specially designed for MI/HPC customers. You will take lead on helping to build out our test capability beyond GPUs to CPUs. Work closely with the leadership team to expand the test plans and identify key system level items that are unique to CPU based systems. The team is building new ways of doing both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation to ensure our products are Enterprise Ready.

You will be part of the Graphics Data Center and Accelerated Processing Validation team. We are looking for people with passion, technical experience, and energy to stretch the boundary of testing. You will get the opportunity to collaborate with Silicon Designers/Architects, Firmware, SW, and validation teams to bring our products to market. THE ROLE:
CPU Silicon & Platform validation technical leader: responsible for leading validation planning and execution of our next generation MI and Cloud Computing CPU based products. The work will require interlock with other engineering and business teams including SOC Design/Architecture, FW/SW, and Product Management teams. The role will reside in the Datacenter Graphics and Accelerated Computing team which is responsible for GPU & CPU Silicon, GPU Boards and CPU/GPU System Validation. You will report to the Sr. Director of Validation. In addition, to test planning and execution, you will also drive change and innovation to our test capabilities including exercisers, stress, system and other post-silicon test areas. If you like pushing the envelope of what is possible and collaborate across teams to raise the test bar, you will fit into our future goals. We want people who have knowledge and experience delivering complex SOCs and Systems.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Extensive experience working in Silicon/System hardware validation
• Experience in building scale out systems
• Experience leading test efforts at both technical and leadership level
• Experience in developing test strategies based on an understanding of silicon/hardware features
• CPU silicon/system experience
• Graphics experience a plus
• Understanding of HW/FW/SW interaction and system-level design
• Any tools/infrastructure experience a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated ability in “showing initiative” to get things done
