About this role

BT has invested in a number of industry leading sales tools in CRM, CPQ and doc generation, to enable sales productivity through efficient and effective selling activities.

Therefore the vision for BT is to have a common set of sales tools for the entire BT Enterprise product catalogue.  This would include a Salescorce CRM platform fully integrated with a CPQ tooling, whereby products can be configured, priced and then contracted across all digital omnichannels. 

You'll be the product owner and for CPQ and document generation activities in BT Enterprise, aligning into a Salesforce CRM blueprint. You'll be the thought leader for all product / propositions developments that will be built into CPQ sales tooling journeys & capabilities, collaborating with senior stakeholders in proposition, product, commercial and legal.   This is to ensure the products and services that are built into the CPQ tool use the latest innovation technologies, capabilities and procsesses to delight our customers when buying from BT.  Its about setting the tone and aligning the business stakeholders in a consistent approach.

Empowerment to ensure the guard rail blueprints are set and clear around the design and implementation of the CPQ sales tooling, maintaining consistency and governance on how and what BT build with in it.  This will have a direct result in enabling sales to sell products & propositions efficiently and effectively through configure-price-quote process capabilities.

You'll set direction of the future selling tools in BT, these tools will be what our people will use, our customer will interact with and how are products sold in the market place.  It critical we get this right to leverage digital omnichannel reach, enabling us to directly grow revenues and net promoter score KPI’s.

 

You'll have the following responsibilities

Set the vision, direction and strategy of the CPQ sales tooling with sales and CTIO colleages

Lead a virtual team, in creating a backlog, set and MVP and deliver to an agile model

Be the product owner for Enterprise CPQ Sales tooling, consisting of Salesforce, CPQ and doc generation

Collaborates with 3rd Party suppliers on thought leadership and new ways of working, integrating these into the design and output of the CPQ sales tooling.

Translates requirements from the sales channel teams, Marketing teams Product/Proposition teams, and Commercial & Trading teams, and SX/CX teams to optimal configure-price-quote process requirements within strategic BT programmes

Implement industry best practice for sales tooling capability and methodologies, bringing external thinking and input into Enterprise to drive world class capability (aligned with group frameworks/decisions).

Operate day to day using Scrum and agile ceremonies as the product owner to deliver business requiresments against CPQ sales tools strategy and vision.

 

You'll have the following skills & experience

Skills:

Knowledge and experience of CPQ sales tools and leading programmess of operationalising sales tools transformation.

Understanding of Sales Tools in the industry and market and utilisation in Sales organisations.

Sales professional knowledge: sound knowledge of core end-to-end sales processes, capabilities, tools and systems.

Expert for Enterprise on sales methodology with finger on the pulse on external standards.

Transformation and change management: expert in embedding new processes, systems or tools in a commercial environment to drive better sales efficiency and improve performance.

Expert knowledge of Sales tools – CPQ, Sales Force, Velocity, proactively suggesting, trialling and testing new ideas to the benefit of sales.

Strong stakeholder management skills and influencing skills.

Experience:

Knowledge of commercial sales productivity drivers (revenue, margin, cost of sale, cost to serve), and the efficiency and effectiveness levers which influence sales force productivity

Knowledge of BT/Telco product families (Mobile, Voice, and Access/Connectivity) and the product propositions

Knowledge of Enterprise sales channels

Knowledge of configure-price-quote process journey’s across New/Provide, Modify, Re-newal

Knowledge of configure-price-quote process capabilities for desk and field sales teams (i.e. Territory Management, Lead Generation, Lead Management, Contact Management, Account Management, Opportunity Management, Configure-Price-Quote, Contract Management, Activity Management, Forecasting, Order Management)

Knowledge of CPQ sales tools & systems which enable sales to sell efficiently and effectively (i.e. salesforce, CPQ, Vlocity / CloudSense or Salesforce CPQ)

Knowledge of data components which enable configure-price-quote process capabilities (i.e. Account/Customer, Contact, Item, Price, Assets, Usage, Contract, and Activity)

Preferably you would have experience with:

Salesforce ADM-201

Cloudsense CPQ & or Vlocity CPQ

Prince2, Agile SCRUM

Doc Generation, Smart Communications
