The School is part of a forward thinking academies trust which prides itself on staff development. The role is to work across School covering lessons for the class teacher in their absence.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the cover manager, supervise pupils in class during the absence of their class teacher
• Administer clear instructions and feedback to pupils
• Liaise with teaching assistant regarding pupils that need support within class
• Follow school policies, practices and procedures
• Contribute to the planning and evaluation of class lessons where required
• Participate in staff training

Requirements

• Be experienced working in a school environment
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be confident supporting and engaging pupils
• Have proof of eligibility to work in the UK
• A clear DBS or willingness to apply - help will be provided
