Responsibilities

• Part of a client team that manages a portfolio of real estate and/or infrastructure related clients
• Working closely with our wider Financial Advisory business (including our Deals, Tax (stamp duty, transfer pricing and GST), Legal, and Private Clients teams) on real estate and/or infrastructure projects
• Developing investment structures for our clients, with a particular focus on inbound investment structures, taxation of trusts and Managed Investment Trusts
• Assisting clients with M&A activities, including tax structuring and tax due diligence services
• Working with the ATO to obtain rulings for clients, and making submissions to Treasury on policy matters
• Researching and analysing technical tax issues and preparation of tax reports
• Assisting with business development initiatives and proposals
• Preparing for and attending meetings with clients
• Assisting clients with their tax compliance, including preparing and/or reviewing of trust and company tax returns

Requirements

• You have a background in Australian Income taxation preferably with a particular focus on taxpayers within real estate and/or the infrastructure industry and are skilled in using technology to meet client’s goals
• You hold a satisfactory understanding of applying these technical tax skills to a variety of different client scenarios (including structuring and tax due diligence) whilst working within your client team to partner with clients to understand their Australian and global business.
