Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Corporate Accountant to join the Financial Reporting and Treasury team based in Minchinbury. This role is a permanent full-time position.

 

As a Corporate Accountant, you will be a part of a high performing and results driven team with a focus on process, diligence, and accuracy. To be successful in this role, you must have a positive attitude towards teamwork, stakeholder management, and an in-depth working knowledge of accounting principles. A key aspect of this role will see you responsible for the month end close process, including balance sheet reconciliation and consolidation process.

Market leading remuneration $93,700 - $106,600 (inclusive of superannuation)

Selection Criteria:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience within an accounting environment

CA/CPA accreditation or equivalent from other countries

Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Strong communication skills, attention to detail and organisational skills

Unrelenting focus and grit to pursue great results

The ability to apply problem solving skills, initiative, and responsibility for tasks

Excellent written, verbal, and relationship building skills with the ability to engage across different levels of management

The ability to manage competing deadlines and work under pressure

Knowledge of accounting standards and legislation

Experience in SAP is highly desirable

Demonstrated exposure within the Professional Services sector is highly regarded

 

Role Responsibilities:

Perform daily and month end accounting activities in an accurate and timely manner

Complete all reporting requirements for review by the Executive Manager

Prepare financial and ad hoc reporting and analyses as required by the Executive Manager

Assist the wider team in fulfilling requirements for auditing and compliance

Perform treasury related functions including hedging, daily liquidity planning and cash management

Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Participation in various ad hoc projects such as system implementations

Engage in process improvement where applicable

 

This role reports to the Executive Manager - Finance & Administration.
