“You will work in a cross functional team of skilled engineers building software to manage infrastructure, leveraging Kubernetes as a basis for a PaaS offering, driving the automated CI/CD strategy across the organisation, and building tooling and operators to deliver key capabilities for engineering teams across Sky and NBCU (Peacock). What you’ll do:

• Developing software to manage infrastructure, orchestration, and tooling/libraries to enable teams. You will work remotely with the option to come on site as and when required to meet and work with the team.
• Test driven, software defined approach to Platform as a Service
• Responsible for the strategic large scale, multi-tenanted Kubernetes platform central to key propositions running on a global scale, including NOW, Peacock, and Sky.
• Diverse set of opportunities within internal teams, depending on personal interests. Ranging from building software to manage low level network and cloud infrastructure, to CI/CD and tooling
• Involved in the full lifecycle of evolving ideas into running solutions
• Play a key role in defining group wide strategy influencing both the business and technology

What you’ll bring:

• A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals with a strong background in software engineering using Java or Go
• A methodical approach to design, problem solving, troubleshooting, and implementation
• Experience with containerisation technologies, preferably docker and Kubernetes
• A willingness and passion to learn new technologies and concepts outside current experience
• A pragmatic and holistic approach to engineering
• Effective communication that encourages collaboration and teamwork

Our Osterley campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Chiswick Park, Gunnersbury, Acton Town and Ealing Broadway tube stations. There’s also plenty of parking, bike shelters and showers.
