Our client, a global technology company, seeks a regional Controller to support the Canadian team for a 3 month term. This role has the potential to go long-term.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance your responsibilities will be to:

- Prepare monthly, and quarterly Financial Statements

- Prepare for the Year-End Audit and act as the primary contact for the auditors

- Prepare and review the corporate tax return

- Ensure that operations maintain an effective and efficient financial close process

- Manage a team of 7 who are responsible for AR, AP, and Payroll

- Review intercompany transactions

- Act as key point of contact for any accounting related queries 

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated finance professional (CPA or equivalent), that has had a progressive career and working experience in a leadership role.

In addition, the following skills are desired:

- Ability to independently manage month end and quarterly close

- Experience with multicurrency accounting

- Strong attention to detail

- Superior communication skills

- Ability to lead and mentor a team
