One of the Lower Mainland’s unique industrial manufacturers / fabricators is looking for a Controller to help lead the organization through a period of growth and transformation. Located in the TriCities and working closely with the incumbent accounting team, the Controller will lead the organization through a major ERP implementation, provide management reporting to the leadership team, establish effective budgeting and forecasting, and be a “thinking partner” to the General Manager of the business. 

Additionally, the Controller will be responsible for:

-         Oversight of the full cycle of accounting including cash management

-         Budgeting, forecasting, planning

-         Project costing and oversight

-         Management of credit applications

-         Payroll management

-         Maintenance of inventory including annual inventory counts

-         Manage supplier relationships

-         Financial statement preparation

-         Engage with external stakeholders (bank, tax/audit partners etc.)

-         Team leadership

 Requirements

This is an ideal role for a designated CPA with significant exposure to the full cycle of accounting in a privately held, inventory driven business and experience leading an organization through a full ERP implementation. A strong technical foundation that allows the successful candidate to seamlessly move from the tactical day-to-day to strategic management reporting and multi-year planning is critical. Additionally, high emotional intelligence and low ego are necessary
